Srinagar, Aug 11: Commissioner FDA Jammu -Kashmir Smita Sethi said on Monday that more than 12,000 kg of rotten meat has been confiscated and destroyed in Jammu and Kashmir, as Commissioner FDA J&K Smita Sethi said on Monday.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir in particular, Sethi said, “This drive will continue across J&K, and inspection teams are being deployed in every district directed by the Chief Minister.”
He said that in some cases meat was found stored in ordinary polyethylene, which is untoward. Samples have been collected from several places for testing.
“Wherever gross negligence is found, strict action is being taken,” he said.
