Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has nothing much to celebrate in this Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign. With the franchise placed 9th in the 10-team points table, and the possibility of playoff qualification only mathematically possible, it has been a season to forget for Hardik and his team. But, the win over the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad team on Monday gave Hardik and his teammates a moment of joy, with the home side winning by 7 wickets at the Wankhede. The win moved Mumbai Indians from 10th to 9th in the points table, although playoff chances are still slim.

After the game, Hardik stressed on the need to do the right things in the remaining campaign, as MI are unlikely to finish among the top 4 teams.
