Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Surendra Rajput also criticized the BJP, while the party had the right to register an FIR, it was “unfortunate” that she was seeking votes in the name of PM Modi’s late mother.

“It is unfortunate that today, BJP is seeking votes from the people of Bihar in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother. The mother is respected. The mother who is no longer in this world. If any worker abuses the mother, a cedar should be filed against her.

He further alleged that the people of Bihar would question the BJP for their previous conduct, remembering that when the party had called Bihar Bandh in the name of the Prime Minister’s mother, its own workers had misused the mothers and sisters of Bihar.

Purnia MP Pappu Yadav also weighed, saying that insulting someone’s mother was unacceptable and this action should be taken against those responsible people. He associated the incident with the “derogatory remarks” made by political leaders in the past.

Speaking to IANS, Pappu Yadav said, “It is absolutely wrong to misbehave anyone in any program. This uncontrolled behavior of political laborers weakens the society. It is extremely wrong to use aggressive words for any mother. Whether it is misusing someone’s DNA or casteist comment by PM Modi as it is mentioned by Anurag Thakur.”

“A mother is respectable; you cannot misuse someone’s blood, caste or father. In those videos that have gone viral, people who have used such words, should be expelled from the party, the FIR should be recorded against them, and such people should not be spared, because they are not only enemies of mothers, but also of culture and values,” they said.
