Patna, 22 September (IANS) President Janata Dal (RJD) spokesman Chitranan Gagan on Monday demanded that the BJP proved the authenticity and time of the controversial audio-video clip-it was issued-it was issued-it was a matter of disrespect against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother.
Gagan questioned the credibility of the clip, asking how the abusive words were clearly recorded, while the leader of the leader (LOP) in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashvi Yadav’s voice, speaking on a microphone from the stage, was missing in the video.
“If the video clip is actually from Tejashvi Yadav’s address, where did his voice disappear? It is surprising that the audio of the person using derogatory words was captured in front of the stage, but the voice of Tejashvi Yadav, which was on the microphone, was not,” he said.
Condemning the use of derogatory language, inviting holy words like ‘Maa’ and ‘Sister’, Gagan accused the BJP of drowning for a new depth of political indecency for electoral gains.
He said, “It is a matter of great grief and concern for Indian democracy that all boundaries are being crossed to compete with political rivals,” he said.
The BJP so far has to respond to the demand of RJD for evidence or formal forgiveness.
Gagan calls it a sponsored conspiracy, which aims to spoil Lopa Tejashvi Yadav and draw attention from public issues.
He said that BJP is deeply concerned with public reaction to Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Bihar Adikar Yatra’ and has resorted to lies and deception to distract from major issues being raised during the campaign.
“The BJP and its allies are unable to combat the issues of public welfare and Bihar’s progress that Tejashvi Yadav is being highlighted. That is why they are involved in the conspiracy and spreading lies,” Gagan alleged.
He said, “The RJD culture is not such that it will use vulgar words against anyone. If someone has used the derogatory language against the Prime Minister and his late mother, we strongly condemn it and demand an inquiry with the most strict action against the convict,” he said.
However, the BJP has strongly condemned the incident. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary, Union Minister Nityanand Rai, BJP leader Giriraj Singh, BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya, and Lok Jananshti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan all criticized RJD and Tejashvi Yadava.
BJP leaders claimed that the outrageous video clip appeared during the public meeting of Tejashvi Yadav held in Patepur assembly constituency in Vaisari district on Saturday.
A complaint was also filed at the Gandhi Maidan police station in Patna in this case.
The dispute comes when the political temperature rises from the upcoming Bihar elections, Tejashvi Yadav attracted a large crowd during his ‘Bihar Adikar Yatra’.
