Rishabh Pant fever is sweeping Delhi Capitals, batsman going wild in nets ahead of IPL 2024.cricket news

India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is sweating it out in the nets ahead of his much-anticipated return to cricket for Delhi Capitals (DC) during this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Pant missed the 2023 IPL after suffering multiple injuries in a horrific car accident on December 30, 2022. He even missed last year’s ICC Cricket World Cup at home. Delhi Capitals shared a video of Pant hitting the net on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the video, Pant can be seen hitting his signature big shots, slam sweeps, reverse sweeps, etc.

“BattingHeaven.mp4. Rishabh Pant is here and you will be here too, watching #YehHaiNayiDilli #IPL2024 on a loop,” the caption of DC’s post said.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a major update on Rishabh Pant’s recovery from injury and said that the wicketkeeper-batsman has been declared fit for the upcoming 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) .

Pant, who has represented DC since 2016, has scored 2,838 runs in 98 games at an average of 34.61 and a strike rate of over 147 and has a hundred and fifteen years to his name.

The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will kick off on March 22 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a South India derby at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Currently, the schedule up to April 7 has been announced and the rest of the schedule will be announced later as the Lok Sabha polls are about to take place, the exact dates of which are yet to be announced.
