Richard Tandy, ‘Mr. Blue Sky singer dies at 76

Richard Tandy is known for providing the voice of mr blue sky Electric Light Orchestra by ELO, died at age 76.

ELO frontman Jeff Lynne confirmed the keyboardist’s death in a social media post on Wednesday, May 1.

Expressing her grief on Instagram, Lynn wrote an emotional note, reading, “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my longtime collaborator and dear friend Richard Tandy.”

He said, “He was a wonderful musician and friend and I will cherish the memories we spent together for the rest of my life.”

The group’s co-founder expressed his condolences to the late member’s family, “Sending all my love to Sheila and the Tandy family.”
