Originally launched in 2012, the Renault Duster shaped India’s compact SUV segment, which now accounts for almost one-fourth of the passenger vehicle market.
The new Duster will be the first product introduced under Renault’s “International Game Plan 2027” and will be an important part of ‘Renault’ its India-centric transformation strategy. ‘Reconsider.’
Stéphane DeBlois, CEO of Renault Group India, said Duster represents more than just a model name. “The return of the SUV reflects our commitment to the Indian market and our aim to offer vehicles that meet customer expectations,” he said.
DeBlaze said the new Duster will blend its distinctive heritage with modern design, advanced technology and superior performance.
Renault claims that the Duster SUV has a strong following across the globe, with around 1.8 million customers worldwide and over 200,000 owners in India. Indian automotive enthusiasts were highly anticipating the return of this SUV.
Renault will officially unveil the new Duster on January 26, 2026, on the occasion of Republic Day. The company has also started registration for its waiting program from today.
