Released Er Rashid, represents his people: Performance in Pratiman Mantar

Srinagar, August 25, KDC: A large -scale seating in Janta Manter in New Delhi is under opposition to mark the six -year underdeveloped of Baramulla MP and Awami Itatehad Party (AIP) President, Engineer Rashid.

Hundreds of supporters, activists and sympathy were involved in protests and banners, demanding immediate release of ER Rashid and other Kashmiris, which were recorded in jails across the country and Jammu and Kashmir.

The protesters raised slogans “attacking democracy” by the protesters, arguing that a democratically elected MP was put behind bars, the mandate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was reduced.

Members of several civil society of Delhi, including famous peace activists OP Shah, also participated in the demonstration. The leaders addressing the gathering described Rashid’s prolonged chaos as a “visit to justice” and warned that the elected representatives denied their parliamentary role and eradicated public belief in democratic institutions.

The protesters urged the Government of India to immediately release Er Rashid so that they could represent their people in Parliament. (KDC)
