They were initially arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police after the blast near Red Fort Chowk in the crowded area of Old Delhi, which killed at least 15 people, before the suspects were officially handed over to the NIA.
“All of them played an important role in the terrorist attack in which many innocent people were killed and many others were injured,” an NIA spokesperson told the media at the time of the arrest.
The federal anti-terrorism agency has now booked at least six people in connection with the blast.
This also includes Jasir Bilal, who has been sent to NIA custody for ten days. A Delhi court on November 18 termed Omar Un Nabi, who was declared a suicide bomber by the NIA, as an “active co-conspirator”.
According to their investigation, Umar un Nabi drove a red car and used “Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (IED)” To trigger the explosion.
