Rebel Wilson said she was contacted by several other women after she claimed she was sexually harassed by actor Sacha Baron Cohen.
Wilson made the accusations in her autobiography Rise of rebelsaccused Baron Cohen of making inappropriate requests while filming the 2016 action comedy Grimsby.
While there is no indication that other women who have been in contact with Wilson are pressing charges against Baron Cohen, Wilson insists that “the truth will come out” about her allegations.
According to her, Cohen allegedly asked her to strip naked while filming scenes, despite her contract containing a “no nudity” clause and making sexually explicit demands.
However, representatives for Baron Cohen have denied any accusations of abuse.
Sources suggest they may have been the catalyst for Barron’s recent announcement of his separation from wife Isla Fisher.
The actress revealed in a recent interview that women who have been in contact with her are still considering whether to go public with their claims.
She said she felt completely disrespected by Baron Cohen’s behavior, which led her to adopt unhealthy eating habits as a coping mechanism.
Wilson said she eventually relented and agreed to slap Baron Cohen’s butt in an improvised scene after multiple rewrites.
However, behind-the-scenes footage released after her claims came to light appeared to show she agreed with the scene.
Wilson previously mentioned the incident in a 2021 podcast discussion with British TV personality Ant Middleton.
Although she didn’t mention Baron Cohen’s name at the time.
