Television star Rashami Desai slams Ranveer Singh and Johnny Hins’ ad. The pair surprised everyone on Monday by releasing an ad about erectile dysfunction. The video is shot in the style of a TV series, mocking the over-the-top TV shows that often go viral on social media. Rashami, who has worked in the television industry for many years, said the ad was “humiliating” and “felt like a slap in the face”.

She shared the ad on Instagram Stories and said, “I started working in the regional film industry. Then started working in television. People call it small screen. Common man watches news, cricket, all Bollywood movies Etc. After watching this film, which was very unexpected for me, I think it is a shame for the entire television industry and people who work in television.”

“Because we’re always made to feel smaller and treated like a human being. Actors really want to work on the big screen too, and that’s exactly how we’re treated. Everyone’s working hard. I’m a little sorry, TV show pe sab nahi dikhate. It all happens on the big screen. There is nothing wrong with showing some reality but this is really a test for the entire TV industry because I feel like it is a slap in the face. Maybe I am overreacting, But we showed culture and love to the audience. I am hurt because I have gone through a journey of respectability in the television industry. Hope you can understand the sentiment,” Rashami said.

The new advert has been released as part of the #TakeBoldCareOfHer campaign. Ranveer, who is the brand ambassador of Bold Care, plays Johnny’s brother-in-law in an Indian TV drama style and talks about sex. Talking about the matter in a statement to the media, Ranveer said: “I sincerely want to use my influence to create awareness and make a positive impact. The ‘Dare to Care’ campaign is more than just words “This is a mission that I’m deeply involved in, and I’m here to change the way we address men’s sexual health, with the goal of finding real solutions and impacting millions of lives across the country.”
