Rajnath Singh praised the back-end support of the mode for the success of Operation Sindoor

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday emphasized the importance of civil-civil coordination for the safety of national interests, highlighting the extraordinary back-end support provided by various departments of the Ministry of Defense (MOD), which armed forces have been called the key to the success of Operation Sindor, in a statement of the Ministry of Defense.

He was addressing the 84th Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) Civil Services Day event at DRDO Bhawan, DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi on August 01, 2025.

The Defense Minister said that the war is fought not only by the army, but the whole country, and in today’s rapidly changing security scenario, there is a need to move forward with dynamics and innovative feelings, constantly improving according to the developed needs. He said, “We cannot give up scope for even a little carelessness or mistake,” he said.

Emphasizing that a strong administrative system is integral to a strong military power, Mr. Rajnath Singh appreciated AFHQ civil services during the war to strengthen the country’s security system as well as to play an important role in strengthening peace-time.

“AFHQ services serve as an institutional memory for the Ministry of Defense (MOD). It provides continuity, domain expertise and uniformity in administration, while policy plays an important role in continuity and establishes a civil-monetary coordination. It is a strong column of a modern and integrated national defense system.”

The Defense Minister emphasized capacity development, urged AFHQ officials to assess and embrace the best practices being adopted by their counterparts in other ministries and countries in the areas of training and capacity.

He said, “Changing emerging technologies, new challenges and global landscape indicates that training should not only be a formal process, but a continuous cycle of development. Skill upgradation, moral orientation and behavioral excellence must be added as integral organs of training,” he said.

Rajnath Singh said that training components should not be limited to technical proficiency, rather it should also include price orientation, which can combine tasks with national interests. This would make AFHQ a value-based institution with an administrative structure, he said.

As part of the incident, the Raksha Minister launched a redevelopment website of the office of Joint Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer (www.caomod.gov.in), which would provide all relevant information about the office to the employees and the general public.

Employees will be able to get the latest orders and updates such as promotion, transfer, medical allowance status, salary slip and form -16 etc. Through the website, employees can also apply for various training courses and workshops of the Defense Headquarters Training Institute.

Rajnath Singh also released a book ‘Vikasit Bharat@2047: Vichar of Karmikon’ and a magazine ‘Equism’. The book ‘Wikit Bharat@2047’ includes 40 articles written by employees of various ranks posted in service headquarters and inter -service organizations. Articles are on various subjects related to Vikasat India such as digitization, new education policy 2020, Artificial Intelligence, Defense, Green Energy and Autumnation in Poverty Eradication. The 32nd issue of the magazine ‘Equism’ includes travelogues, essays, articles, poems etc. by the employees.

The Raksha Minister presented awards to AFHQ personnel for his achievements in various fields, such as in various fields such as sports, and some children who excelled in academics.
