Rajnath Singh Moscow’s Victory Day Parade to represent India: Source

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will represent India at the upcoming Victory Day Parade in Moscow, sources confirmed ANI on Wednesday.

According to reports, Russia invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the event. However, the Indian side earlier stated that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will represent the country in the parade instead.

Earlier, Russian President Press Secretary Dimitri Peskov confirmed the State News Agency Tass that Prime Minister Modi would not attend the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow.

Rajnath Singh last visited Russia in December 2023, for the commissioning ceremony of the Indian Navy in Kaliningrad. He also interacted with members of the Indian community.
