Kota, Oct 27 (IANS) In a significant reform for the state’s education system, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar announced that government and private school students will now have the same uniform, and ties will no longer be a part of it.
Dilawar said, “In future, we will also decide on uniform for teachers. Teachers will have ID cards and identity card will also be mandatory for all students.”
The minister also announced changes in the academic calendar, stating that the school session will now start from April 1 instead of July 1.
Addressing the media at Kota University, he said, “This will ensure that students will get their textbooks on time and they will get enough time to study during the summer vacations.”
In another important announcement, he said that the attendance system will be linked to the national anthem and national anthem.
Highlighting the new measures to establish discipline, Dilawar said that employees will be considered present only if they join in the national anthem and national anthem.
“I have three departments – Panchayati Raj, Education and Sanskrit. The offices of these departments will now open with the national anthem and close with the national song,” he said.
The minister also announced a new attendance monitoring system under which parents will receive updates about their child’s attendance in school.
He said, “Parents should know whether their children have reached school or not. If any student is absent, the parent will receive a message on the number registered in Shala Darpan.”
Dilawar said that preparations for this system have already been completed and it will be launched soon.
Officials said the government believes that uniform uniforms and strict attendance norms will promote discipline, equality and transparency in schools.
The education department is also expected to consult with school managements to ensure smooth implementation of the new rules across the state. Officials said teaching days will increase with the updated calendar, which will help improve learning outcomes.
