Jaipur:

An operator of a government service delivery app found a bag containing Rs 10 lakh cash near an ATM in Churu district and returned it to the bank concerned, police said on Thursday.

They said the bank found the owner of the bag and returned his money to him.

Churu Police Commissioner Jai Yadav issued a certificate of appreciation to state government eMitra platform operator Balkishan Rasganiya for returning the money.

On Wednesday, Lasgania went to a PNB ATM to deposit cash. Yadav said he found a bag containing two small packets, each containing ten bundles of Rs 500 notes.

Rasganiya, a resident of Regal Basti, then approached bank manager Mahesh Mehta, who checked the CCTV footage and traced the owner of the bag, Waheed Ali. Yadav added that his documents had been checked and the money had been returned to him.
