While the world celebrates February 14 as a day of love and romance, a scathing attack on the brave hearts of our CRPF five years ago changed the way we Indians view this day forever. On February 14, 2019, a vehicle-borne suicide bomber attacked a convoy carrying Indian security personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Letapora in the Pulwama district of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. . Forty members of India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in the attack.

A man named Narayan from Bhilwara in Rajasthan decided to pay homage to the martyrs of the attack. He tattooed the names of 40 martyrs on his body to immortalize their names. Apart from this, he also has the tricolor flag and the Martyrs’ Memorial tattooed on his back and a picture of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his chest.

In an interview with News18, Narayana said that on February 14, 2019, he had a sleepless night after hearing about the attack and expressed that he wanted to visit the funeral of every soldier who was martyred in the attack.

“February 14th is the day when everyone celebrates love, but these people who love this country don’t care about their lives, but give up their lives. As long as I am alive, all these patriots and 40 soldiers The names will always live on me and I will always remember how they sacrificed their lives for the country,” Narayan said. He asked people not to worship movie heroes but our soldiers, whom he called the real heroes of the country. Narayan also wrote a line next to the names of the martyred soldiers of Pulwama that read, “An idea can change a belief.”
