Rajasthan: Hemraj Suman Gang Busted; 13 Arrested Including One Woman

Jaipur, September 30 (IANS) In a major success against organized crime, Jhalawar police have busted the infamous Hemraj Suman gang, in which 13 members including a woman have been arrested.

The gang was under police supervision for months in the crimes involved in crimes ranging from insurance fraud and honeytrap forcibly ranging from arms and drug trafficking. Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said that on September 24, the Kotwali intelligence officer filed a confidential report about the activities of the gang.

The group allegedly financed tractors and other large vehicles in the name of poor farmers, destroyed them, and then filed a false theft report to claim millions in insurance.

The gangs of Uttar Pradesh were also involved in the gang under the leadership of Hemraj Suman of History-Shashe of Sarola.

The police prepared a strategy and, under the instructions of SP Kumar and ASP Chiranjilal Meena, deployed about 20 teams to raid places in Jhalwar, Jhalarapatan, Sarola and Kota.

During the discoveries, the police checked a police uniform and shoes, wooden pipes, a typed rape complaint, passbook and books, fake vehicle documents, property papers and fake number plates.

Hemraj’s Swift Dzire car and the gang in Dadia found important evidence to connect the gang with many fraud and blackmail efforts.

The gang was involved in insurance fraud in which vehicles were deliberately demolished after being funded, followed by false theft cases to claim insurance.

Similarly, the gangs were engaged in crimes such as honeytrap and blackmail cases, in which female members were used to implicate influential persons. The victims were threatened with fake rape complaints and police uniforms.

The other crimes of the gang was forging documents, Illegal Sale of Vehicles, and Smugggling Drugs and Weapons. The Arrested Include Gang Leader Hemraj Suman (44), Along with Murari Lal Suman, Sitaram Meena, Sema Meena, Riyaz Pathan, Sohail Khan Alias ​​Ghasit, Mohammad Farooq khan Alias ​​Monu, Yojandra Singh, Lekhraj Bhil, Purushottam Mali, Aman, Tosif, and Kalu Alias ​​Kamal Meena.

Police estimate that more than 20-25 criminals from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are associated with gangs. Dozens of serious criminal cases against Hemraj and his colleagues are already registered.

Investigations suggest that hundreds of tractors may be destroyed in Jhalawar, Baran and other areas as part of fraud. Officials have confirmed that a special investigation team (SIT) led by Dysps Harshraj Singh Khera and Prem Kumar is further investigating.
