Rajasthan: Heavy rain, alert issued in Jaipur and other districts

Jaipur, September 30 (IANS) After the return of the monsoon, Rajasthan on Tuesday saw unexpected changes in the weather, which experienced heavy rains with several districts including Jaipur.

According to the Meteorological Department, a well-marked low-pressure area remains on the Kutch region, while a trough line in the lower atmospheric levels is active on the northwest Rajasthan.

Due to these conditions, many districts, including Jaipur, Alwar, Sikar, Dausa, Ajmer, Jaisalmer, Dholpur and Nagaur Received Significant Rainfall.

Officials said that there is a possibility of continuing to continue in some areas for the next three to four days with light to moderate rains with thunderstorms.

Heavy rains were recorded in Jaipur, resulting in long traffic jams.

The weather changed dramatically in the capital of Rajasthan on Tuesday afternoon.

Several areas including Gopalpura, Sangner, Jagatpura, Tonk Road and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg recorded a huge decline.

Waterlogging was reported in some parts of the city, in which the service lane in Kamla Nehru Nagar on Ajmer Road was completely flooded.

The rain gave relief from humidity, and the city temperature dropped, which gave the residents very important relief.

Heavy rains were also recorded in Alwar, where many roads were flooded due to a 20 -minute fall.

In Dausa, Sikrai and Mahuva saw heavy rains, while parts of Jaisalmer such as Ramdevra, Pokharan and Nachna also received significant rainfall.

The meteorologist said that rainy activity varies from light to moderate in some areas, which varies from intense cloudbursts in separate pockets.

The Meteorological Department of India has issued alerts for more rainfall in the coming days.

A new low pressure area is expected to develop in the Bay of Bengal within 24 hours, while a fresh Western disturbance is predicted to be activated between 5 to 8 October.

This system can trigger widespread rainfall across Rajasthan from 6 to 8 October, which may increase further waterfalls and disruption concerns in low-fold areas.

The authorities have urged the residents to be vigilant and follow the advice, especially in unsafe districts for floods.
