Jaipur, Nov 13 (IANS) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited Delhi on Thursday, where he held important meetings with three Union ministers to give impetus to Rajasthan’s development agenda.

He met Union Minister of Energy, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Patil and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary.

The Chief Minister discussed important projects related to urban development, energy, water management and skill enhancement aimed at strengthening the infrastructure and youth potential of Rajasthan with central cooperation.

During his meeting with Union Minister Manohar Lal, CM Sharma reviewed power and urban infrastructure initiatives.

Senior officials of the Energy Ministry were also present.

The discussion focused on strengthening power evacuation systems, as Rajasthan has immense potential to contribute to India’s solar energy goals.

Officials said that in the interest of farmers, the tower base compensation rate has been increased to 400 percent of the DLC rate, while the corridor compensation has been fixed at 30 percent in rural areas, 45 percent in municipal corporation areas and 60 percent in municipal corporation areas.

The meeting also highlighted that AT&C losses are continuously declining, with Jaipur and Ajmer discoms now below 15 per cent. The implementation of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) has also gained momentum.

The Chief Minister also discussed the approval of DPR for Phase 2 of Jaipur Metro, which will further enhance connectivity and urban mobility in the state capital.
