The foundation stone for a grand new education in the historic temple of Saeh (Lion) Resi was laid in Dara, Harvan today. The ceremony was led by Tasavuf International and Kashmir Society President Khwaja Farooq Renzush, and MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar.
According to a statement released here, the incident occurred with the auspicious occasion of the saint’s URS (annual memory) and attracted a large gathering of devotees, clerics and spiritual leaders from across the valley. The new construction will surround the ancient sanctuary sanctuary (Rosa Sharif) of a revered lunch, which is believed to meditate for 12 years in distant caves of Dachigam and Fakir Gujri, to reflect the old Kashmiri architecture in centuries -old Kashmiri architectural heritage.
Saeh Reshi is remembered not only for their deep spiritual insight, but also for the mystery around their taming of wild lions under spiritual domination, a legend still resonated through the oral traditions of the valley. Their caves, now one of the upper-related upper, reaches beyond the fisheries point of Dutigam and another Bulbulshah Pal is considered to be sacred by followers of various religions.
Addressing the gathering, Khwaja Renzush and Salman Sagar paid rich tribute to the saint, which emphasized their legacy of interfathy harmony and peace. Renzush exposed the historical role of the Harwan Valley as a confluence of Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist traditions, called it “a living testimony for the shared spiritual past of Kashmir”.
He also recalled his time as the municipal commissioner of Srinagar, given that he and the then Mayor Salman Sagar led the first polythene ban in the region, later a model adopted by several major Indian cities including Mumbai.
Salman Sagar assured that developmental works in the Harwan Valley would be given priority, confirm the importance of the region as a spiritual and cultural hub.
Prominent religious leaders and community figures also included in the ceremony, including Seh Rashi Shrine Jenab Bashir Sahib President and Sajjda Nisin, Vice Chairman Jenab Nazir Sahib, Imam Sahib, Fakir Gujri Jamia Masjid’s Imam Aizz Nizami, Dr. Tariq Chishih Sahib, Mir Abdi Sahih Tirtha, among others.
The mantras of devotional verses and tasavuf lessons filled the wind, marked a day of deep importance for the spiritual heritage of Kashmir.
