Light rain and high humidity have helped the firefighters of British Columbia in their work to include wildfire burning out of control over Vancouver Island.
About five-class-kilometer wildfire has forced those living in about 390 houses to flee in the regional district of Nanymo.
The BC Wildfire Service states that the crew made good progress in improving the control of the explosion, saving it from spreading in nearby houses and highways 4 corridors.
It says that there was light rain when the fire broke out on Tuesday, allowing firefighters to “expand the expansion, and the night-vision helicopters were set to work in the perimeter of the fire overnight.
Officials say fire behavior has been limited to “a low-vigor surface fire”, but some spots have seen a high burning intensity.
BCs are burning 130 active wildfires, more than almost double the number of last week, inspired by massive and dry weather and thousands of electrical attacks.
Some residents have expressed concern that the fire of Wesley Ridge can reach a nearby temperate rainfall with trees that have been standing for 800 years, but the wildfire service says it is not in danger.
