Srinagar, July 9: Rain on Wednesday brought relief from the situation of intense heat wave in many parts of Kashmir.
The Meteorological Department estimated intensive rainfall at some places in the valley in the next 36 hours and said that the current weather system would continue till Thursday, “Moderate rains will continue to stop for moderate rains/ thunderstorms. Some places in Kashmir may receive intense rainfall/ torrential rains with the possibility of heavy rains at different places,” said by Mate Office.
It said that there is a possibility of flash floods at some weak places with landslides, mudslides and shooting stones. It can also increase the water level in rivers, streams and water logging in certain low-fledged areas.
The Meteorological Office said that there is a possibility of warm and humid weather with light rain at scattered places from 11-13 July.
