Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ concluded in Mumbai today.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Choudan Nyaya yatra, which he started in Manipur two months ago, will conclude in Mumbai today and will also be attended by his key allies A 6,700-kilometer walking march.

A Congress leader said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will attend the event marking the end of the pilgrimage at Shivaji Park.

Besides, Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aaditya, Sharad Pawar and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren are also expected to The event was attended to convey the message of unity of the opposition ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Mr Gandhi’s mother, will also attend the event, sources said, adding that she would also meet Maharashtra Union leaders earlier in the day.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who arrived in Mumbai yesterday to take part in the yatra, will also attend the event.

“Today the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is coming to an end. We are all happy to be here. Rahul Gandhi is undertaking this trip to make everyone aware of the reality of the country. The entire journey is to create awareness among the public,” she said .

The east-west Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra started from Imphal on January 14 and has passed through 15 states including Assam, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra of more than 100 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The nationwide walking march was announced on the eve of the Lok Sabha elections as a follow-up to the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir last year. The Congress party attributes its victory in Telangana and Karnataka assembly elections to this pilgrimage.
