Rahul Gandhi questions PM Modi on Trump’s claims of “Five Jets Shot Down”, “The country knows that it’s right”

Web Desk, 19/07/2025

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday raised a strong question on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding an explanation of US President Donald Trump’s “Five Jets Shot Down” claims about the claims made in his speech.

In a post on X, Gandhi said, “Modi ji, what is the truth about 5 ships? The country has the right to know!”

This comes when Donald Trump once again claimed to stop the India-Pakistan struggle on Saturday.

By joining the attack, Congress leader P Chidambaram questioned the government’s silence and credibility. “After President Trump’s latest statement, what the Government of India has to say? There is no answer,” he wrote in a post on X.

He further said, “I would like to believe in the Government of India, but if the government does not tell the truth-so doesn’t really say anything on the results of the 5-day war-what do we believe?”

Earlier, in the day, Congress MP Jeram Ramesh in his latest speech, in his latest speech, excavated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his “friendship and hagsi” with the US President, seeking clarification on the “Five Jets Shot Down” claims.

“The sensational new revelation by President Trump around this time is that five jets may have been dropped. The Prime Minister, who has a year friendship and haglomepsy with President Trump, is going back to Houda Modi in 2019 and has now given himself a clear and superior statement to Namst Trump in February 2020.

Ramesh said that the US President decides his intervention to stop the war between two nuclear countries and stressed the danger of “No Trade Deal” when the war continued.

Earlier on Saturday, Trump once again claimed to increase the India-Pakistan struggle.

“We closed a lot of wars. And they were serious, India and Pakistan, which were running. The planes were being shot from there. I think five jets were shot, in fact. These are two serious nuclear countries, and they were killing each other. You know that it is a new form.

India has repeatedly stated that after the success of Operation Sindoor, the enmity with Pakistan did not end due to any mediation, and this happened after the DGMO of Pakistan called its Indian counterpart. (AI)
