Rahul Gandhi has set a world record with 90 defeats, Pakistan should take citizenship: BJP leader

New Delhi, September 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Ajay Alok on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, claiming that under his leadership, the Congress has lost more than 90 elections, which is a “world record” in itself.

He sarcastically suggested that Gandhi should take Pakistani citizenship, because “no one in India is interested in it, while Shahid Afridi also praises him on the border.”

“Rahul Gandhi has already set a Guinness World Record. The Congress has lost more than 90 elections under its leadership. People in India have stopped taking him seriously, so I suggest that they should take Pakistani citizenship. They are very popular, even Afridi singing his praise. What is needed in India now?” Alok told IANS to protect Gandhi’s recent comments and Sam Pitroda’s controversial comments.

On Tejashvi Yadav’s ongoing political tour, Alok claimed that it was only a fight for “political existence”.

He said, “First, Rahul Gandhi took out his journey to save the Congress, now Tejashvi has been shocked and he has started his journey. But finally, it will only end in jail,” he said.

While hitting the RJD, the BJP spokesperson said the party’s DNA was inherent in “abuse, corruption and crime”, recently pointing to a controversy where RJD activists allegedly misused the late mother of Prime Minister Modi. “It’s not surprising. This is his character. I don’t even expect to apologize to him. But people from Bihar and the country are watching,” he said.

Commenting on the rift within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, Alok alleged, “This is a highly corrupt family. Except Rohini Acharya, everyone is on bail. Even he will eventually be dragged into cases. It is like iglets that is attacking the weakest to survive.”
