The Queen has revealed her simple tips for reducing stress when the Princess of Wales and the King were diagnosed with cancer.

Camilla gathered writers, academics and supporters for an evening reception at Clarence House on Tuesday (March 26) to mark new research commissioned by her Queen’s Reading Room Literary Project.

In her first public appearance since Kate’s diagnosis was announced to the public, the Queen gave a speech on the impact of reading on mental health.

She said: “In addition to 5 and 10,000 steps a day, we should all strive to read for at least 5 minutes a day, which has immeasurable benefits for brain health and mental health.”
