Quebec dairy farmer drones, chasing herds running with the help of neighbors

A Quebec Dairy farmer is relying on drones and the help of family and friends to try to track a herd of Holstein cattle that survived their enclosure in the weekends.

François Moriset says that 24 young animals fled through a fence on Saturday night after getting out of fireworks.

Since then, they have spread to small groups and have traveled several kilometers around Saint-Gabriel-De-Rimoski in about 300 kilometers north-east from Quebec City.

Morrisset says that he is capable of scoring 15 skitish animals, but nine are missing.

He says that he is getting help from family and neighbors, including a person who has used drones to help them find.

He says he does not give up in re -achieving the rest of the flock, even if he has run into the forest, where they are very difficult to track.
