Kajigund, July 18 (KDC): Officials said on Friday that a young man died opposing a robbery attempt at his house in Kajigund area of South Kashmir.
The tragic incident came to light when a group of unknown intruders broke at Abdul Ahad Bande’s residence late Thursday night. Zahid Ahmed Bande, the son of the owner of the house, faced the thieves and tried to thwart the attempt to steal. During the scuffle, one of the attackers attacked Zahid with a sharp -edged weapon, causing serious injuries.
Zahid was immediately taken to the emergency hospital Kajigund, where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, family members succeeded in dominating one of the attackers and handed over to the Kajigund police. Officials said a toy pistol and a sharp knife were recovered from the suspect’s possession.
Other companions managed to escape from the spot and are currently on run.
The police have taken cognizance of the case, and a case has been registered. A man heham has been launched to track the remaining suspects. Further investigation is going on. (KDC)
