Double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu clinched the Malaysia Masters title by reaching the women’s singles final with a come-from-behind win over Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Fifth seed Sindhu, who has not won a title in two years, won 13-21, 21-16, 21-12 against world number 20 Busanan in a marathon semi-final that lasted 88 minutes and entered the BWF World Tour Tournament. Sindhu won the 2022 Singapore Open and was the runner-up at the Madrid Spain Masters last year.
