“Proud to stop probably nuclear war through trade”: Trump again claimed credit for peace between India, Pakistan

US President Donald Trump once again claimed credit for the end of enmity between India and Pakistan on Friday (local time), saying that his administration’s business talks potentially extended the nuclear war between the two countries.

During a conversation with reporters here, Trump was proud to achieve peace through trade rather than military conflict, recently ruled the debate on American role in India-Pakistan ceasefire, after the Pahgam terror attacks and after the tension of India increased after the north of India through the North North.

“I think the deal I am the most proud of is that we are working with India, we are working with Pakistan, and we were potentially capable of stopping an nuclear war, which through trade through trade unlike bullets.

Trump further claimed that the US was very close to finalizing an agreement with India, in which representatives of Pakistan visited the US next week.

Trump said, “Pakistani representatives are coming in the next week. We are very close to a deal with India. And if they were going to war with each other, I would not be interested.”

The enmity between the two nations ended on May 10 after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, on 22 April, the Pahgam was started in vengeance for the terrorist attack, killing 26 civilians.

The operation targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK), which led to intensive clashes with Pakistan’s drone attacks on Indian cities with the International Border and Loc (Loc) and LoC.

Earlier, before India could officially declare any understanding of the ending of enmity with Pakistan, US President Donald Trump announced “complete and immediate ceasefire”, claiming that the US played an important role as a mediator.

However, India denied the claims made by the US President, reiterating their policy that India and Pakistan bilaterally addressed any cases related to the center region of Jammu and Kashmir.

“As you know, we have a long -standing national situation that any issue related to the center region of Jammu and Kashmir is to be addressed by India and Pakistan bilaterally. It has been said that the policy has not changed. As you know, the outstanding matter is the arrears of Indian territory illegally occupied by the Ministry of Pakistan.”

Mea further said that the “business issue” has not come up between Indian and American leaders since the launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the end of enmity.

“Time Operation Sindoor began on 7 May until the understanding of firing and military action on May 10, negotiating the military situation between Indian and American leaders. The issue of business came to none of these discussions,” the MEA said. (AI)
