Producer Shylaja Nag Radhakrishna talks about Darshan’s next with Tharun Sudhir

Darshan Thoogudeep, known as ‘Challenge Star’ among his fans, is gearing up for his upcoming film ‘D59 – The Legend of Sindhoora Lakshmana’ , which delves into the life of Sindhoora Lakshmana, an Indian freedom fighter from Karnataka. The film’s producer Shylaja Nag Radhakrishna interacted with News-18 Kannada Digital and revealed the status of the project. Nag, who is co-owner of Media House Studio Private Limited, will be supporting the film under her production company.

According to Nag, the script of the film is currently in development. However, concrete plans for the start of filming have yet to be finalized. The tentative title of the film is “D59 – The Legend of Sindhura Lakshmana”, and the final title will be determined after the script is locked. Nag expressed confidence that the film will be launched once Darshan gives the go-ahead for the shoot.

This collaboration marks the third collaboration between Nag Productions and Darshan. Nag expressed optimism about creating a compelling storyline for the film and emphasized the importance of portraying Sindhula Lakshmana’s story on screen. She praised Darshan for his dedication and described him as a real-life warrior, making him perfect for the role of Sindhoora Lakshmana.

Nag also praised director Tarun Kishore Sudhir, attributing the success of previous films like Robert and Katra to the synergy between Sudhir and Darshan. Notably, Sudhir’s father, actor Sudhir, had previously played the role of Sindhoora Lakshmana in theatre, adding a familial connection to the project.
