Pro-Palestinian protesters occupy government offices to protest against ‘arming Israel’

On Thursday 28 March, pro-Palestinian protesters occupied the entrance to a Whitehall government department because they believed it was linked to the supply of weapons to Israel.

The Free Palestine Movement in London targeted the Department of Business and Trade.

Protesters staged a distraction show as a cyclist hit a pedestrian before forcing his way past a security guard and sitting on the floor at the entrance to a government building.

After the protesters were cleared from the building by police, they unfurled a banner that read “Stop Arming Israel” while wearing black T-shirts with the same message.
