Jordan Matthews, the attorney representing Krause and Fialko, said in a statement shared Independent: “Any contention that our allegations are ‘offensive’ or ‘cross an ethical line’ is nothing more than a clever attempt to twist the facts and create a false narrative.”
Matthews said, “First, while our clients are disappointed that they have been forced to proceed with litigation, it was Ms. Presley and her family who first brought the outrageous and scandalous false allegations against them to tarnish their reputation and destroy their businesses.” “Second, the reality is that these are the circumstances our clients were forced to endure while they were trying to keep the Presley family together, despite the fact that they were battling each other over control of the money and Lisa Marie’s estate. Third, again, any claim that the allegations are ‘outrageous’ is patently false.”
The lawyer concluded: “What his counsel left out from his comments is that our clients have made a good faith effort to resolve this matter and that his counsel was well aware of this filing, but he chose to ignore it, and emboldened our clients to move forward with litigation. Our clients will not be harassed by false allegations or misrepresented facts. We will let the facts and the truth speak for themselves.”
