Prince William gets emotional as he recalls memories with Prince Harry during Cornwall outing

Prince William is reminiscing about his past experiences while on holiday in Cornwall with his brother Prince Harry.

The prince, who holds the title of Duke of Cornwall, visited Fistral Beach shortly after being in the UK for his estranged brother Prince Harry’s appearance at St Paul’s Cathedral for the Invictus Games.

Despite his desire to wear a wetsuit and hit the ocean waves, William continued to wear formal attire when attending official duties.

During the visit he made a little boy’s day when he secretly signed his plaster cast and told him: “Shh, don’t tell anyone. I’m not meant to do this!” Nine-year-old Phoenix Kanes quietly stopped Prince and asked if he would sign a plaster cast on his broken arm.

At the Chelsea Flower Show last year his wife Kate revealed that she was not allowed to sign her name on some of the paintings drawn by schoolchildren, saying it was one of the rules – although she did it for them. Made a little drawing.

King Charles has also been known to turn down such requests, once politely telling fans, “Sorry, they don’t let me do that.”

The Prince, who regularly holidayed in Cornwall with his brother Harry when they were younger and can surf every bit as well, said as he looked around the beach and turquoise waters: “It’s everything Brings it back. I want to put on a wetsuit and get out of there right now!”

The Duke of Sussex was in London yesterday for a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
