Prince Harry makes explosive statement after receiving latest blow from King Charles

Prince Harry, who arrived in Britain on Tuesday, has issued a bombshell statement confirming that he will not meet his cancer-stricken father King Charles during his visit.

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex said gb news: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation over whether the Duke will meet his father while in the UK this week, unfortunately this will not be possible due to Her Majesty’s full schedule.

“Of course the Duke understands the diary of his father’s commitments and various other priorities and hopes to meet him soon.”

The statement comes hours after Harry arrived in the UK to attend the Invictus Games Thanksgiving service, which will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday (May 8).

Harry is also due to give a reading to mark the 10th anniversary of the sporting event, which he founded in 2014 when he was a working member of the royal family.

Father-son duo Harry and Charles last saw each other in person in February 2024, following the King’s cancer diagnosis. The royals met for 45 minutes at Clarence House but the Duke did not meet his elder brother Prince William.

There were high hopes that the King and Harry would reunite this week but the Duke of Sussex has issued a statement confirming that they will not see each other during his visit to London.

Harry, on the other hand, is expected to stay in the UK for just three days before flying to Nigeria to embark on an unofficial royal tour with Meghan Markle.
