Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 34,700 crore across the state.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other BJP leaders, visited the Manduli district of the district.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated new terminals at Azamgarh, Shravasti, Chitrakoot and Aligarh airports and the Chaudhry Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Maharaja Suhel Dev State University in Azamgarh, which was built at a cost of Rs 108 crore.

He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of five major national highway projects worth Rs 11,500 crore.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna, he also constructed over 5,342 kilometers of roads worth Rs 3,700 crore in 59 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 12 railway projects worth Rs 8,200 crore in Uttar Pradesh.
He also launched three sewage treatment projects worth Rs 1,114 crore under Namami Ganga Yojna in Prayagraj, Etawah and Jaunpur districts of the state.
The Prime Minister also plans to launch the Lighthouse Project (LHP) in Lucknow, where more than 1,040 affordable houses with modern infrastructure have been built.
