Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates today and tomorrow, where he will discuss advancing our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan .

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, he will visit Qatar after visiting the United Arab Emirates on February 14-15.

The statement read: “I will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates on February 13-14 and to Qatar on February 14-15. This will be my seventh visit to the UAE and also Second visit to Qatar since 2014.”

“I look forward to meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi and having extensive discussions on advancing our comprehensive strategic partnership,” the statement added.

Notably, over the past nine years, India-UAE cooperation has witnessed multi-faceted developments in areas including trade and investment, defense and security, food and energy security, and education.

“Our culture and our people are more connected than ever,” the statement added.

Before departure, Prime Minister Modi also shared a post on social media “X”, emphasizing that this will be his seventh visit since taking office, which shows the importance we attach to the strong friendship between India and the UAE.

He further called the President of the UAE “his brother” while expressing excitement and said: “I am eager to meet my brother the President of the UAE.”

“In the next two days, I will visit the UAE and Qatar to participate in various activities that will deepen India’s bilateral ties with these countries. This is my seventh visit to the UAE since taking office, which demonstrates our commitment to a strong India of value – Emirati friendship. I am eager to meet my brother HH @MohamedBinZayed. I will have the honor of inaugurating the first Hindu temple in the UAE. I will also address the Indian community at a community program in Abu Dhabi. Prime Minister Modi further recalled the honor of hosting the President of the UAE in Gujarat as the chief guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.

He further emphasized that at the invitation of the Vice President of the UAE, he will address world leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai on February 14.

“At the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, I will attend the World Government Summit in Dubai on February 14, 2024 to address world leaders,” the statement added.

Additionally, his discussions with the Ruler of Dubai on the sidelines of the summit will focus on strengthening our multi-faceted relationship with Dubai.

Additionally, he noted in the statement that during his visit, he will also inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.

Prime Minister Modi will then address members of the Indian community from all emirates of the UAE at a special ‘Ahlan Modi’ event in Abu Dhabi.
