Mathura, 25 September (IANS) President Drupadi Murmu will visit Mathura and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, which will be to pray in major temples.
She will Arrive in Vrindavan by a Special Train from Delhi and Visit the Shri Thakur Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan, and the Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti on the Parikrama Marg.
This journey holds special significance as it matches the centenary celebrations of Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti Ashram.
The Mahant of the ashram invited the President, and preparations are underway to establish the Ram Darbar in the ashram. During his visit, the President will also meet with saints and sages for 20 minutes.
The district administration and the municipal corporation have made extensive preparations for its arrival.
The President’s convoy will light special prayers and silver lamps at the Banke Bihari temple before going towards Nidhivan.
Senior officials inspected security arrangements in temples to ensure a smooth visit.
Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna and Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar reached Mathura and Vrindavan on Tuesday, so that the system could be reviewed.
All aspects of security in Shri Krishna Janmati Temple and other sites were thoroughly investigated on the President’s Yatra program.
Strict measures have been taken, and the traffic diversion will be effective till the President’s departure from 7 am on September 25.
Earlier, on 20 September, President Murmu visited Gaya, when he is performed with the Holy ‘Pind Dan’ and ‘revered’ rituals for his ancestors with Vishnupada Temple and Falgu Akhwat Dur. World famous Pitu Paksha Mela.
This was the first time in Indian history that a sitting president performed ‘Pind Daan’, a ritual which was considered to bring out the departed souls.
The President, whose native village is in the Mayurganj area of Odisha, performed rituals under the guidance of Rajesh Lal Katariyar, a protector of the ancestral record for the families of the Extra Beda.
