Similar to signing the guest book at a wedding, Israel keeps a book in the Knesset (their version of our Congress) where visiting dignitaries will sign and leave a brief message for posterity.

Here’s more information about the guest book:

The Knesset maintains an official visitor (guest) book which high-level guests sign during formal visits – usually upon arrival, often just before addressing the plenum and in the presence of the Knesset Speaker. Entries are short handwritten messages with the dignitary’s signature and date. Recent examples include US President Donald Trump signing the Knesset guest book on October 13, 2025, and US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy doing so during his visit on May 1, 2023.

Today, of course, President Trump was there and signed the guest book.
