TV presenter holly willoughby A moped rider has been fined more than £1,600 for driving without due care and attention after a collision left him injured.
The 44-year-old man pleaded guilty by post at Lavender Hill Magistrates Court on Tuesday, but was absent from the hearing.
Court documents say he drove his Mini Cooper without due care near his home in Richmond, south-west London, on August 28.
Police were called to Church Road, Barnes, following reports of a collision.
The occupant of the moped, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital, and his injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
The Metropolitan Police said Willoughby was fined £1,653, plus costs of £130 and a victim surcharge of £661, and given six points on his licence.
