Porsche India achieves best ever sales in India, 914 units sold in 2023

Luxury carmaker Porsche ended 2023 with positive sales results and posted its highest-ever sales in the Indian market. The German brand has reportedly sold more than 900 vehicles in the country and boosted its overall profit margins.

With good sales last year, Porsche managed to achieve business growth of 17%, up from 64% in 2021. The company has retailed about 775 vehicles in 2022, the report said.

Of these, few performance-oriented cars have contributed well to overall sales. According to details shared by the brand, the Porsche Taycan electric car sold more than 113 units, compared with just 65 911 models.

Talking about the same, the company’s India director Manolito Vujicic said: “2023 is another strong year for Porsche India, with sales of every model playing an important role in our encouraging results. It provides 2024 sets a good benchmark with the launch of a number of new products and the further expansion of our retail network.”

New car models in India

Meanwhile, Porsche has been working hard to round out its product lineup. In order to offer a wide range of options to its target audience, the company has launched Macan EV in India.

The car has been launched in two variants – Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, with prices starting at Rs 165 crore (ex-showroom). Both the cars are equipped with powerful technology with maximum power of 402 BHP and 630 BHP respectively.

In terms of cruising range, the Macan 4 claims a range of 613 kilometers on a single charge, while the top model (Turbo) has a range of 591 kilometers on a full charge.
