Wallstones and Selassie Gbomita has been crowned the winner The Great British Bake Offof A festive New Year’s special that triumphs over fierce competition and returns to the iconic tent.

The popular duo Baking Show Series 7 They reunited in a special broadcast on Channel 4 when it aired on BBC One.

They were crowned victors after impressing the judges with three ambitious bakes: an elaborate Christmas tree pie display, an elegant New Year’s themed side dish and towering festive cookies.

After his win, Gbomita succinctly expressed his joy, saying: “There’s not much to say except it’s awesome.”

The special features a star-studded cast of past contestants. Other competing pairs include Andy Ryan and Nelly Ghaffar from Series 15, and Tasha Stones from Series 14, partnered by Briony May Williams from Series Nine.

In the original challenge, the bakers were tasked with making at least 12 delicious pies from puff pastry and arranging them into festive designs. Gbormittah and Stones offer a variety of options, including chicken in chilli sauce, classic chicken and mushrooms, and generous three-cheese and onion fillings.

The duo prevailed in a technical challenge, expertly whipping up six New Year’s themed entrees.

These exquisite desserts feature a hazelnut choconde base, topped with delicate white chocolate bavaro and a luxurious chocolate hazelnut praline mousse. Judge Paul Hollywood praised their mirror glaze as “good”, while Dame Prue Leith declared the mousse and Bavarian cheese “perfect”.

The final exciting round asked the bakers to recreate scenes from their favorite Christmas movies. Taking inspiration from the 2003 film ElfGbormittah and Stones build impressive edible show Empire State BuildingHollywood believes it may be the highest-grossing show in Bake Off history.
