Srinagar, October 2: Voter turnout in the third phase of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir exceeded 69%, a pollster said on Wednesday.
It said in a statement that the turnout in 40 constituencies in the third phase was about 69.65%.
“As the remaining voting parties continue to return, the field officials will continue to update the same and the updated data will be available on the voter turnout app in real-time AC (Assembly Constituency) and district wise data,” the statement read.
According to KNO news agency, data showed that the voting rate was 67.68% in Bandipora, 61.03% in Baramulla, 71.40% in Jammu, 73.34% in Kathua, 66.79% in Kupwara, and 66.79% in Samba. It is 75.88% and Udhampur is 76.09%.
Pollsters say this is a rough trend because data from some polling stations takes time and the trend does not include mail-in ballots.
“The final actual vote account recorded by each PS is shared with the polling agent in Form 17 C at the close of polling,” it said.
