New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS) Bihar Assembly elections 2025, which saw bumper voting in both phases on November 6 and 11, will see the BJP-led NDA get a bumper victory and the RJD and Congress-led Grand Alliance (Grand Alliance) suffer a setback in the high-stakes electoral battle, according to most exit polls on Tuesday.
A series of pollsters who shared their projections for the high-octane contest in Bihar predicted a comfortable victory for the BJP-led NDA and saw it easily crossing the halfway mark of 122 seats, while the Grand Alliance looked to struggle to go beyond the 100-mark.
Exit polls also predict a setback for Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraj, the latest entrant who has positioned himself as the ‘third option’ in the state.
A total of seven polling agencies see the BJP-led NDA back in power with a clear majority, with three of them keeping their upper margin above the 160-mark. For the grand alliance, most expect it to be limited to double digits, while some see it having a high margin of around 100 seats.
Other parties, including Owaisi-led AIMIM, Kishor-led Jan Suraj and independents, are unlikely to have any impact on the exit polls as they have been marginalized and may get 2-8 seats in the 243-member assembly.
According to Chanakya Strategies, NDA is likely to get 130-138 seats and Grand Alliance may get a respectable 100-108 seats, while others are also seen getting 3-5 seats. According to its findings, Jan Suraj is drawing a picture of a duck.
Dainik Bhaskar has presented a more dire prediction for the Grand Alliance with 73-91 seats, while the NDA is projected to get 145-160 seats, and may claim victory on another 5-7 seats.
According to Pollstrat, the NDA is expected to get 133-148 seats with a vote share of 44.71 percent, while the MGB alliance is expected to get 87-102 seats with a vote share of 40.34 percent.
According to DV Research, the NDA is projected to get 137-152 seats, and the grand alliance may emerge victorious on 83-98 seats, while others may win 1-8 seats.
Exit polls by JVC and People’s Insight show similar estimates for both the major players – NDA and MGB. JVC has projected 135-150 seats for the NDA, 88-103 seats for the Grand Alliance, while People’s Insight has projected 133-148 seats for the NDA and 87-102 seats for the Grand Alliance. Both see other parties as non-players, including Jan Suraj, who is predicting 3-6 seats in their kitty.
According to the IANS-Matrix exit poll, NDA is expected to get 147-167 seats, while the Grand Alliance’s seat share seems to be limited to only 70-90.
P-Mark projects the NDA as the largest player with 142-162 seats and the Grand Alliance as the largest player with 80-98 seats. Another polling agency People’s Pulse has estimated NDA to get 133-159 seats and Grand Alliance to get 75-101 seats. Both the polling agencies have found public support for Jan Suraj in their surveys and have projected the new party to get 1-5 seats.
