Kalyan Rebellion ‘will not define the story of this government’, says Cabinet Minister
Welfare rebellion “will not be a defined story of this government”, a cabinet minister has said.
Pat McFaden compared the backbenth rebellion of Tuesday night under Sir Tony Blair in the 1990s, and told Times Radio: “I have been around for a long time, and I have to reflect that this is not the first time it is with labor on welfare.
“When we first came into government in 1997, we had a similar size of rebellion on a similar issue: We had 47 Labor MPs against a welfare reform measure, we had 100 restraints.
“The headline was, Blair is suffering from profit rebellion and the government not only went to improve welfare welfare, but also to reduce child poverty, walk around NHS and do many other good things. So I do not deny that it has been a difficult process on welfare reforms, but this is not the first time, and this is not a fixed story of this government.”
The Chancellor of the Dachi of Lancaster also defended the Sir Kir Stmper, told the same station that he is the person who has “directed” for the government.
Asked whether there are issues of policy or leadership, the Chancellor of Dachi, Lancaster said: “Keer is a starrer leader who took the Labor Party for the fourth time in his history against the majority of labor government.”

- Sir Kir replied: “[Mrs Badenoch] Definitely will not happen. I want to say, I am always happy when she asks me questions or answers a statement because she always messes up completely and shows how dishonest and irrelevant they are. She talks about Black Hole, she left a black hole of £ 22 billion in our economy and we are really proud that in the first year of a labor government, we got free school food, breakfast club, childcare, invested £ 15 billion in transport in North and Midlands. We are cutting into regulation, planning and infrastructure, moving forward, construction of 1.5 million houses, the biggest investment in social and inexpensive housing, and of course three business deals. ,
- Mrs. Badenoch replied: “How terrible it is for the Chancellor that she cannot confirm that he will stay in the place.”
