Patna, November 7 (IANS) Amid the Bihar Assembly election campaign, there was a political stir on Friday when Janashakti Janata Dal president Tej Pratap Yadav was seen with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and actor Ravi Kishan at Patna airport.
Tej Pratap told reporters that he would support whoever develops Bihar, while Ravi Kishan said that BJP’s doors are always open for devotees of Lord Shiva.
Ravi Kishan said that Tej Pratap was a good-hearted person and a devotee of Lord Shiva.
He said, “All are Shiv devotees in BJP – even our Prime Minister. The doors of BJP are always open for those whose aim is service.”
Ravi Kishan said, “He is a devotee of God, and I am also a devotee of Lord Shiva – and we met here.”
However, Tej Pratap did not pay much attention to this fact and said that both of them had met for the first time.
Asked if a different picture might emerge after voting ends in Bihar, Tej Pratap reiterated, “Whoever removes unemployment and provides employment, we will support him. We both wear tilak, so why wouldn’t we praise each other?”
The exchange sparked fresh speculation over whether Tej Pratap might forge an alliance with the NDA after the elections in Bihar are over.
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav – who has parted ways with the RJD leadership – is contesting the 2025 Bihar elections independently after launching his own outfit, Janashakti Janata Dal.
He is contesting from Mahua assembly constituency of Vaishali.
Tej Pratap had earlier said that he would support whatever alliance the next government forms in Bihar – but with conditions.
Following Tej Pratap’s remarks, speculation has been rife in political circles across Patna whether the Janashakti Janata Dal may side with the NDA if it returns to power in the state.
These speculations gained momentum after she was seen with Ravi Kishan at the airport on Friday.
Ravi Kishan and Tej Pratap Yadav are continuously campaigning for their respective party’s candidates in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
