The Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken cognizance of the incident of a sexual assault which took place in Srinagar.
A police spokesperson said that Srinagar police had taken cognizance of the alleged sexual alliance of a woman near Water Works Road, Nishat, which was facing serious injuries and was later declared dead in the hospital.
Four accused persons involved in the FIR and Criminal Commission have been arrested under the relevant sections of the law registered in PS Nishat.
Further investigation is on. The district police is committed to Srinagar justice and public security, he said.
