Officers arrived at The Chapin School on Manhattan’s Upper East Side around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and found the girl with “injuries consistent with a fall from a height.” New York City Police Department told Independent,

First aiders took the girl to a nearby hospital in critical condition but she later died from her injuries. It is unclear whether the incident was an accident or not.

The Chapin School is a K-12 girls’ school established in 1901. More than 800 students are currently enrolled. This year’s tuition costs more than $68,000.
