Investigators have released photos of a suspect and a suspect vehicle following an alleged unprovoked attack at Vaughan Plaza last Tuesday evening.
In a previous release, York Regional Police officials said someone was Attacked “with a sharp object” at Vaughan Plaza The parking lot and incident were described as “unprovoked”.
The attack happened just after 6 p.m. near Mable Smith Way and Interchange Way and southwest of Jane Street and Highway 7, police said.
Investigators said two men were walking in the parking lot when an unknown man approached from behind, grabbed one of the two men and assaulted him.
The victim was later taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, officials said.
The police statement said investigators are searching for a man believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s. They described him as five-foot-10 to six-foot tall, with brown or black facial hair and a medium to heavy build.
Authorities said the suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored checkered top, a blue and green plaid jacket, and dark pants.
Investigators also released an image of a suspect vehicle, described as a white, four-door sedan (pictured below).
