Yakob Harkate, 21, not a certain address without any certain address, and 35-year-old Mohammad NAS of Jamaica Road, Southworks, was arrested when Harkat attempted to steal a high-price watch from the officers wearing plain-birds at Hayes Mews at around 6.15 am last year.
On 11 April, after a trial in the Southwark Crown Court, Harakat convicted the robbery and was found guilty.
Harkate was jailed for two years, while Nas was imprisoned for three years.
A spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police said: “Uniform and plain cloth officials constantly patrol the dacoity hotspots to identify crimes, but even more importantly to help the criminals to stop and prevent robbery in the first place.”
